Alison began dancing at the age of three in Burlington, Ontario and has extensive training in Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Lyrical, Modern and Musical Theatre. She competed for thirteen years throughout Canada and the United Sates winning overall awards and scholarships, and is a registered teacher with the Royal Academy of Dance, the British Association of Teachers of Dancing and Dance Masters of America.
She is a graduate of Ryerson University where in 2010 she received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre Performance Dance and is also a graduate of the Teacher Training Programme at Canada’s prestigious National Ballet School. During her time at NBS she studied Royal Academy of Dance, Cecchetti and NBS/Vaganova based ballet pedagogy as well as classes in National Dance, Music theory, Skeletal-Muscular Anatomy of Dance and Dowd studies.
Alison’s students and choreography have received countless awards at national and international dance competitions including the title of Miss Teen World Dance 2017. Her students have also been accepted to the National Ballet School’s full-time programme.
Alison is the director of both the recreational and competitive Ballet programmes at Dancers Burlington.
